Newark First Presbyterian Church has been an active member of the downtown community since 1808. Members are involved in various outreach activities including Community Roundtable Luncheons, Candlewick Commons, Vacation Bible School and the Downtown Newark Association. Our deepest desire is to introduce Jesus to those who do not know Him, to deepen the faith and commitment of those who already know Him and to demonstrate Christ's way of love in service to the world. First Presbyterian is large enough to serve and small enough to care.

They come from every walk of life...every generation...and their interests are as varied as the people they wish to serve. Yet each of our donors has something in common...an unmistakable desire to improve their community, and the fortitude to turn their compassion into action.
